RESPECT LIFE 5K – July 22, 2023

The Ather Francis Syrianey Council #12567 kindly requests your council's support for the upcoming 12th annual Respect Life 5K Run/Walk on July 22nd, 2023. 

This event aims to raise funds for the Knights of Columbus Ultrasound Initiative Program, which aims to purchase a 3D Ultrasound machine for a pregnancy crisis center located in Colorado. Research has shown that 3D Ultrasounds significantly reduce the instances of abortion when expectant mothers see images of their unborn children.

The Respect Life 5K has become a yearly occasion that raises awareness and garners support for this admirable cause. We encourage interested members of your council to participate in the race and motivate others within your parish to join in this celebration. Participants have the option to register either as individuals or as part of a team, with team members being eligible for both individual and team awards. Additionally, all 5K participants will receive a race T-shirt and entry into the prize raffle. To conclude the event, there will be a free pancake breakfast for all participants and their supporters, generously prepared by Council #12567. Furthermore, there will be a kid's fun run and other engaging activities immediately following the 5K.

By participating in this event, your council will have the opportunity to connect with fellow Knights, Catholics, and supporters of life in a fun and positive environment. There are several ways in which you can support the event, including various donation and participation options. Here are some examples:

1. Field a team(s) of runners/walkers:K of C team: At least four Knights from your council who are in good standing (no maximum limit). Parish team: A minimum of four parishioners from your parish, including at least one female (no maximum limit). Participants can only be a member of one team (no double dipping!).
2. Make direct monetary donations:Checks should be made payable to "Knights of Columbus Council 12567" and mailed to the address provided below. Online donations can be made through our website using credit cards (details available below).
3. Donate gift cards or other items for the prize raffle.

The Respect Life 5K event will be held at Light of the World Roman Catholic Church, located at 10316 W. Bowles Ave., Littleton, CO 80127, on July 22nd at 8:00 am.
